Most people travelling on windsurfing holidays are restricted in their time on the water and can take most advantage of their break by taking some instruction. This is available at all centres and varies principally on conditions. Times for lessons depend on the wind and weather conditions and are usually planned individually with your instructor!
Level 1 – Sailing downwind, basic tack, basic gybes, sailing and staying upwind, wind awareness.
Level 2 – Competent sailing with more advanced and quicker tacking and gibing, using a harness and the technique,
Level 3 – More harness technique, however using a bigger sail with more power, getting planing and using the footstraps.
Level 4 – Planning, Waterstart, Carve Gibe.
Level 5 – Advanced manoeuvres, wave sailing, jumping and Freestyle. |
