The Cape Verde islands are a small archipelago in the Atlantic, 1,500km south of the Canary Islands and approx. 450 km off the West coast of Africa in the trade wind belt. Due to their postion within this winter trade wind belt the Cape Verde Islands boast near perfect windsurfing conditions from October to June. The Island of Sal, with the airport, has been a popular windsurfing haven for years. It's a barren island but everyone who comes here falls under the spell of its mysterious charm and plans to return.

EL YAQUE, MARGARITA

Just off the Venezuelan coast, is the island of Margarita, which has become world renowned for outstanding windsurfing. It's reliable wind has made it a mecca for recreational windsurfers. Ideal for groups of mixed abilities and those that just want to blast! Combine this with a Latin American ambience, tropical weather, a sandy beach and generally good value. Consistent cross onshore winds and shallow safe area make this an ideal spot to learn to windsurf or kitesurf. It is most suitable for the beginner to advanced windsurfer.

CABARETE, DOMINICAN REPUBLIC

Cabarete is one of the world's most complete windsurfing destinations. It combines good wind, varied conditions with a good standard of accommodation and excellent value and laid back nightlife. The surrounding area is lush and tropical and great to explore by bike, jeep or on horseback. Cabarete has also established as an excellent kitesurfing resort, with a totally separate kite beach. It is most suitable for the beginner to intermediate windsurfer and Kitesurfer.

TOBAGO, CARIBBEAN

Tobago is one of the Caribbeans unspoiled islands, it's fantastic beauty and natural charm slowly hypnotise the visitor into daydreams of staying long past their original return dates. When you enter Pigeon Point you'll be amazed/devastated to know that one man owns this site of immense natural beauty. The Point has long been a destination for surfers riding coll reef and engine block, the spot offers windsurfers an equally exciting time either on the large flat water area on the inside or for those wave hunters that ride out to the reef. It is most suitable for the beginner to intermediate windsurfer and Kitesurfer.

DAHAB, EGYPT

Dahab is located on the south eastern side of the Sinai peninsular facing Saudi Arabia across the Gulf of Aqaba. The scenery is spectacular with the mountains make a picturesque background to the sparkling blue sea. Dahab is our most popular destination due to its year round consistently good wind and excellent windsurfing. It is suitable for beginners to advanced windsurfers. There is some limit Kitesurfing here but not enough room for the serious Kitesurfer.

HURGHADA, EGYPT

Hurghada is where the Red Sea adventure all began. A well established resort for windsurfers, Kitesurfers, divers and sun worshippers with the airport only 10 minutes away. There is wind throughout the year, with some of the best in the Summer. Hurghada is one of the few resorts that offers excellent Kitesurfing conditions with professional tuition on hand for beginner to advanced. It is most suitable for the beginner to intermediate windsurfer and Kitesurfer.

EL TUR, EGYPT (ALL YEAR)

El Tur is the newest destination in the Red Sea and it's isolation is it's charm. Only 50 minutes from Sharm Airport, it has long been known as a very windy spot but only recently has a centre and hotel been established. As well as having excellent conditions there are unlikely to be more than 20 windsurfers on the water. Catch it before the crowds come. You may well have a small audience as you gybe close to the mosque, as windsurfers are very much a novelty. It is most suitable for the intermediate to advanced windsurfer.

SOMA BAY , EGYPT (ALL YEAR)

Where is Soma Bay? If you are a windsurfer, and you have been to Egypt then you will probably have heard of Safaga and Soma Bay is just 10 minutes drive north of there. Personally we find the industrial skyline of Safaga a little offensive on the eye so it was with great delight that we heard of the newly constructed Intercontinental Abu Soma Resort, where you can enjoy the same wind with clear uninterrupted views of the Red Sea. It is most suitable for the beginner to advanced windsurfer and Kitesurfer.

 

PORTO POLLO, SARDINIA

Sardinia is one of the most stunning islands in the Mediterranean. A hidden gem! For windsurfers and non-windsurfers alike you will find something here for everyone. With white sandy beaches and crystal clear water as fine as the Caribbean, and only a short two hour flight away. It is most suitable for the beginner to intermediate windsurfer and kitesurfer.

KOS, GREECE
- May - Oct
- All levels of windsurfer.

Kos is located north of Rhodes close to Turkey. The best windsurfing is in Kefalos where the village has built up many small hotels and simple apartments. Kos is excellent value for money with holiday packages from around £250 (even in high season). It is most suitable for the beginner to intermediate windsurfer, there is no Kitesurfing here.

RHODES. GREECE
- May - Oct
- Intermediate to advanced windsurfer.

Blue skies and blue waters are the traditional reasons to go to Greece. Add the Meltemi wind and you have a winner. Rhodes is well developed as a holiday destination and is popular with many people. This makes Rhodes a good destination for an all round holiday. It is most suitable for the intermediate to advanced windsurfer, there is no Kitesurfing here.

FUERTEVENTURA, SPAIN

Windsurfing holidays in Fuerteventura are becoming more popular. Fuerteventura is the second largest of the Canaries although one of the least developed. It is now becoming more popular as sunbathers discover the delight of its endless unspoilt and quiet sandy beaches. We have resorts in both the north and the south of the island to accommodate all levels of windsurfer and Kitesurfer.

TENERIFE, SPAIN

Tenerife can offer one of the best all round holidays. 360 days of sunshine a year and 235 days of wind (stronger than force 4)!! El Medano is located in the shadow of Mount Teide, the highest peak in Spain. The original fishing village of El Medano has developed in an ad hoc manner in a style of it's own, completely different to the commercial resorts to the west. From the pleasant town square you can walk along the beach or into the typical narrow streets. There are many bars and restaurants to choose from and the atmosphere is very multi-national. It is most suitable for the good intermediate to advanced windsurfer and Kitesurfer.

TARIFA, SPAIN

Tarifa is perched on the southern tip of Spain, looking towards Africa just a few miles across the Straits of Gibraltar, where the Atlantic meets the Mediterranean. Tarifa is relatively new to tourism with the majority of visitors being Windsurfers and Kitesurfers, giving it a unique and fun atmosphere. Together with a town steeped in history and a stunning beach front Tarifa offers a very special holiday. It is most suitable for the intermediate to advanced windsurfer and Kitesurfer.

ALACATI, TURKEY
May - Oct

Turkey is becoming increasingly popular with windsurfers due to it's reliable wind, good value and friendly people. Alacati (pronounced Alachati) is no exception, just an hour from Izmir airport in an old wine growing area. It is popular with local windsurfers as well, with the Turkish champion having his base here. There is a 4 star hotel only 500m from the centre and is currently offering very good rates.

TEOS, TURKEY

Located south of Izmir in the direction of Ephesus, Teos is a picturesque resort that is suitable for windsurfing families. There are plenty of activities for children and adults. The kids clubs will look after youngsters aged 4 and above for most of the day leaving the adults to windsurf... or scuba dive.... or mountain bike.... or relax by the pool ... or take a sight seeing trip to Ephesus.
