Where do we start ! There is so much on offer in and around Cape Town you could fill a 3 week holiday and still not do everything. Here will give you an overview of the key trips and tours in the area but on booking with Planet we will send you a full list of things to do and how to book them.

WINE TOURS

South Africa is best known for its stunning wine regions, some of the best of which are in and around the Cape Town region. You can either join a group tour or self drive around the wine route. It is good to do the tour as it is great value for money, good fun and you don't have to worry about driving after all that wine tasting!

SHARK DIVING

For thrill seekers a Great White cage dive is an unforgettable experience. The area around the eastern Cape (Dyre Island and False Bay area) is home to one of the worlds largest populations of Great White Sharks. Most of the the sharks you will see in this area tend to be juveniles but they are still very impressive looking creatures. These sharks tend to stay on the Eastern or Indian ocean side of Cape Town, away from the main windsurfing and kitesurfing area. We have never heard of any encounters with sharks in this area.

SURFING

South Africa has some of the best surfing spots in the world. Planet work together with a surfing company based in both Cape Town and Geoffrey's Bay on the Garden Route. We can arrange for beginner lessons on some of the easier breaks through to trips to some of the best breaks in the world in Geoffrey's Bay area.

CAPE POINT NATURE RESERVE

Cape Point is where the warm waters of the Indian Ocean clash with the cold water of th the Atlantic. This area is one of the most beautiful areas in the world, there really are few words to describe the stunning scenery that awaits you here - this is a must do on your holiday to Cape Town.

TABLE MOUNTAIN

Right on your doorstep is the Table Mountain nature reserve. There is a cable car that will take you to the top where you will find many walking routes as well as a good Cafe with stunning views over the coastal region. We recommend walking up table mountain which takes about 2 hours andmakes for a great morning out.
