Zakynthos is one of the most stunning Greek Islands, often referred to as the ‘Green Island Of Poetry, Of Song and Love’. On Zakynthos you will find the mountain villages and those of the plains besides those by the sea-side. In between the sharp edged rocks, the white sand and the turquoise water bays the Caretta-Caretta sea-turtles find refuge to reproduce. The beaches of Lagana(8km) and Geraka(17km) are welcoming them every year when they come out at night to lay their eggs.

In Town you may stroll at the historic St. Mark's Square and visit the Solomos & Kalvos Museum which is also their Mausoleum. There are kept original artifacts of the island's gentry along with their seals. At the nearby Solomos Square with all the neoclassical buildings you may visit the Byzantine Museum and marvel at the old icons and frescoes that survived from the medieval churches which did not survive the disastrous earthquake of 1953.

The Windsurfing spot is approached via a winding stone path through colourful gardens, a collection of honey coloured buildings jostle with wavy stone walls to form the 'Club House', situated on a rocky outcrop, overlooking Kefelonia, in the beautiful, nspoilt North Eastern part of Zakynthos. Nearby is the small and picturesque fishing port of Anghios Nicolas, which has a pae shingle beach and friendly bars and taverns.

Wooden decks have been built into the rocks and are kitted out with umbrellas and sun beds so guests can establish a base camp at a vantage point for watching the watersports action.

The nightlife of Zakynthos (Zante) is exciting and has much to offer. Numerous bars and night clubs can be found in the island proposing various kind of music and attracting many people looking for drinks and dances all night long. The town has an outside cinema and a good nightlife.T here are lots of family run taverns nearby.
